The Justin Hartley (ex-Adman Newman, The Young and the Restless) helmed action thriller Tracker has snagged a season 2 renewal.

Tracker Season 2 News

As reported by Variety: “Tracker kicked off our premiere week with a ratings bang and has kept the momentum going,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “We knew we had something special when we saw the very first cut of the series and the overwhelming audience response confirms it. We couldn’t be more grateful to Justin, the talented cast, the incredible writing and producing teams and our partners at 20th Television for such compelling episodes. And, of course, we’re also so thankful to the millions of viewers tuning in each week.”

Tracker currently stands as the most-watched new show on TV since Young Sheldon (which in 2017-18 averaged 16.49 mil viewers) and is the most-watched new drama since Empire (which in 2014-15 averaged 17.33 mil viewers).

Tracker, based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver, concerns the exploits of, “lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw, who roams the country as a “reward seeker,” using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family.”

In addition to Hartley, who serves as an executive producer and plays the lead role, the series cast includes Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, Fiona Rene, and Mary McDonnell.

“Tracker” airs Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Stream Live and On Demand on Paramount+. Note: The series will be preempted Sunday, March 10 due to ABC’s airing of the 96th Academy Awards ceremony.
