Eric Braeden Staying Put At The Young and the Restless, Says “I’m Not About To Endeavor A New Profession.”

Rejoice fans of The Young and the Restless — Eric Braeden [Victor Newman] has no plans to retire, not in the near future, or ever at all.

Eric Braeden’s Message To Fans

“There are rumors every so often — they serve as clickbait — where someone announces I’m leaving [Y&R],” granted Braeden during a video posted to his official Facebook (which you can view in full above). But the actor was quick to assure, “I’m not.

“I don’t ever intend to retire. Ever, to be frank with you” continued Braeden. “What the hell would I do? Start a new professional? Hardly. I’ll be 83 next month and am proud of it. I’m not about to endeavor a new profession.” Not that he couldn’t.

However, Braeden is contented and “grateful to have entertained millions of people…that means a hell of a lot to me.”
